Although it is true we did not sell out our full marathon this year, it is most likely not due to the hotel prices, (there are alot of new marathons) The reason I say that I don't think that is the reason we were a few down this year, is that every one of the hotel rooms is booked within a 45 mile radius, people are paying what the hotels are asking, hence the prices and they have no incentive to lower prices. We have been down some numbers in our full, but made up for it with our other races that still sell out, and or are a lottery system that can be a challenge to get in. Thanks for the feedback! We will continue to do our best, working with local hotels and the chamber of commerce to try and have reasonable lodging rates.
