I am currently training for my second marathon- looking for any advice regarding weight training in addition to running. I have cut back to doing a total body weight work-out 2 days per week. Should I continue leg work while training for the marathon to improve strength? It seems that I am ok with upperbody but my legs are so sore sometimes I can hardly run the next day. During training for my 1st marathon I hardly did any weight workouts at all, only running and cycling, and I noticed a big change in my overall strength, so wanted to continue weight training to try to prevent the loss of so much muscle mass during training for this one. Any advice on programs is greatly appreciated!!
