run a better marathon time

I have run a marathon every fall for the past 3 years and just completed my 3rd. My first had a time of 3:37 (hit the wall bad); second 3:17, my third 3:17. What should I do to improve my time? I always have to stop twice to use the bathroom. Once around 3 miles and the other around 18. This last marathon I held a 7 minute pace up to 20 and then slowed to 7:28 for my finishing time. Never hit the wall these last two marathons. I know from my garmin that I am losing 2 minutes from the bathroom breaks. I am going to work on speed work for this next year. At age 39 is that the best I will ever do? I need a 3:15 for BQ and have my hopes on a 3 hour marathon for my own goal. (Nothing to do with BQ)Not frustrated but.... Advice?
