I have pulled my should running with my dog, she sometimes goes after squirrels. Even sleeping HARD, not moving a lot over night and sleeping in an odd position can cause some stiffness in my neck/shoulders. I think it is from general fatigue during training (and getting older). Massage therapists should be able to work it out. For less serious problems I have a roll-on bottle of Bio-freeze that I use a lot. I have to get my hubby to get to the spot on my shoulder. The neck issue I have been able to reach myself.
