I have the same blistering problem - it's chronic for me - although it got better for a while when I started using Thorlo socks. But now it's back - with a vengeance - got a nasty bloody one after an 8 miler the other week.
I have had some success recently with using bunion pads (oval or round) to cushion the blistering area - the adhesive is pretty strong and will stay in place despite sweating. Certainly stays in place better than band-aids and mole skin.
