Thanks for all your responses. I'm actually surprised that you unanimously said Ogden. I don't know why I should be surprised.
Today was my speed work day, so I did a 10-mile MP run. I run 5 miles up the canyon (uphill and into a breeze) at an 8:13 pace. I ran 5 miles back down the canyon at a 7:37 pace. (The 7:37 pace was, BTW, much easier than the 8:13!) Most of the Ogden marathon is similar to the downhill part of my MP run, and I need to average an 8:12 pace overall. In addition, last Thursday I did a 24-mile run at about a 9:00 pace.
So, along with your encouraging words, I officially declare myself ready for Ogden! I'm going for the BQ. If the weather's good and my mildly nagging hamstring problem doesn't act up, I believe I can BQ. I just have to finish this week with 50+ miles of training, and then I can taper on into the marathon on May 4.
Thanks again for your support.
