I'm only 3 yrs into running at 47 yrs of age and I've run 2 marathons so far. I developed severe pain in the ball of my right foot that radiates into my toes after 10 miles last fall training for this past January's marathon. I went to a foot specialist and he can't figure it out. He thinks it might be a type of neuroma but not Morton's Neuroma. I took 2 months off and all I did was get fat and it's been torture getting my mileage back up again. Has anyone had a similar problem and has anything worked? I'm going to try a new Chiro on Monday and thinking about trying acupuncture therapy. I run on Brooks and Saucony stability for over-pronating and have medium arches - any recommendations for shoes that might help with this? I've never tried orthodics either. Thanks!
