Just to be clear, I'm not an advocate for or against the criteria IAAF uses to confer World Record status to World Best road race performances. All I'm saying is that Chicago, Rotterdam, London, and Berlin are all faster layouts than Boston. Yet, under current rule, Boston performances cannot be recognized as WR efforts. That pickle interests me, and I will be very interested to see how IAAF responds.
