I am running the NJ Marathon on May 1. It will be my 15th marathon. I typically get my pre-race massage the Thursday before the Sunday race, which is 3 days out. This has seemed to work for me over the years. However, in my tapering, I am feeling some kinks, aches and pains and I am thinking of getting my massage this Thursday, 10 days out. I ran 2 marathons in the fall, PR'd in a half 3 weeks ago and have trained preety hard - I won't say I am burnt out, but I think it may be wise to try to massage things out a bit earlier. Any thoughts, comments, advice?
