You most likely will do find, but everyone responds differently. That is why we do this to ourselves to determine if we can. Remember training is a series of stress related activities producing additional benefits in performance. As such, it causes fatigue which can negatively impact performance until the body has received the necessary time to heal and rest, otherwise called the taper. Do not neglect this.
I had have had some similar struggles in the later parts of long runs when I first started out, that is until I learned the art of hydration. Dehydration will greatly impact performance. I do sweat greatly, and have found it necessary to drink about 6 ozs of fluid per 15 minutes of exercise. On long runs, I alternate drinking water and a sports drink during the run to keep electrolytes better in balance. The longer the time during the run the more important this mixture is.
Have no fears. If you have mastered the training, you most likely will succeed. There are no guarantees, that is why we run the race. Good Luck.
