Seeing this list makes me sad, because I'd love to have more than one entry. But Boston will be my last. Doctor Robert's order, sort of. But I'll be back in the triathon mode (already have started swimming with the greatest of coaches, I'm so lucky) and once in a while I'll check this place out to see how my friends are doing (how are you, Voodoo?).
I went for an easy 45-minute 'jog' (I feel so uncomfortable running so slowly!) today, tomorrow spinning class, and Tuesday 200 meter track workout, then I'm done.
I'm making a couple of tapes of music for the drive to Boston (just discovered crazy acts like Dee Phazz ("Death by Chocolate"), Thievery Corporation, to go with Portishead and Massive Attack, and Talvin Singh and Niels Peter, oh boy this is going to be a great drive down!). Shopping for this and for that, checking to find my hotel reservation number...Going on the Web to see what kind of weather is expected in Boston...
I don't know what to think (I remember last year in Boston and how I was intimidated by all these people urging us on, the hills, god, the hills, and so on), I only know I feel slightly over-trained, but there's still time to rest, and I guess I feel happy. Nextel is offering six addresses to send live updates to, but I will not use that service (I don't talk about my running all that much, and the people at work don't have a clue as to why I'll be taking April 15-17 off).
I could never have posted this on the 'main' BB. I like this space.
