I'm prepared to take a verbal beating. For reference only, I've never had a problem with bandits running in the marathons I've paid for.
For a very personal reason, I'm considering trying to run Boston as a bandit this year. I know I would suffer like the person I have in my heart is currently suffering, as I'm not in prime shape. I've run Boston 4 times, one of those as a guide for a visually impaired friend. I ran a qualifying time (2:59) in Indianapolis in November, but we all know that was way too late to sign up for this years' event. If I did run as a bandit, I would not plan to take any water, gatorade, etc.
I respect the people on this site, which is why I'm asking: Should I try running as a bandit at Boston?
