This may not apply to you, but could part of your achilles issues be related to your running form? If you are a "heal striker", you might be putting extra stress on your achilles. IF this is something you want to take a look at , you might find the "Natural Running" advice at the following website helpful to you. (It has been very helpful for me to deal with my achilles issues.)
