"Camber" of the road/cyst thought

OK so after reading the cyst thought (ACK!) I made an "emergency visit" to my ever-suffering doctor father, who pronounced that I had overtaxed my hamstring attachment and peroneal longial sum'thin'a'toodinal (ok so I kinda tuned him out after we got to the "no it's not one of those" and the Big Needle fear kicked back out -- sure I'm 40 but I can tune out like the best of kids *evil grin* (really I love ya dad you are the best)) ANYWAY -- he said that this morning I would probably be less sore and able to put my heel down (tsk tsk what IS all this marathoning stuff why can't you golf with me on the weekends any more?), and -- ta da -- so it has been said, so it has been done -- feeling MUCH better today.

As per the camber of the road (I think that is what it is called, Kev?) -- that was REALLY a problem for me, when I hurt the knee after the fall, and was running back like a Bad Grrl. The camber was really bad, and it was (of course) all canted "downward" toward the bad knee. After really realizing that, I have generally run in the MIDDLE of the road -- yes, these are not very well travelled country roads -- or on sidewalks, or switched over as best I could. I hadn't really realized what a "big deal" this was, but after paying a lot of attention to it, my hips have actually acted up less -- which makes me think that a large part of that problem was this "camber" thing.

Thank you all for your thoughts -- as Calgary Runner predicted, on the "2nd day after" now my quads are very painful, BUT the issue of this thread is down to a dull roar. I am back at bodywork school tonite -- Reflexology -- maybe I can have someone work on the part of my feet tied to my knee? Here's hoping.

You guys are the best........
