Hey Shaun, I am familiar with the Hal Hidgon plan, and I am in fact using one of the intermediate plans for the Edmonton Festival Marathon on August 20th. My longest run so far was last week, and it was 34K, which took 3 hours and 1 minute. I'm not familiar with the other plan you mentioned. Are you from the U.S. or Canada? If there is an email address you can give to me, I can send you a 18 week plan for a 3:45 marathon that I used in my first marathon. It is from a chain of running stores called the Running Room. It worked pretty good for me. It is in KM's but you can switch it to miles by dividing all distanced by 1.6 Do you cross train at all? It can help keep things from becoming boring. Anyway, good luck with the training!
