I just read where 2 long runs a week is suggested. I ran 3 marathons in a year last year and am training for one in April. I am wanting to qualify to New York, which is 3:38 for old ladies like me. Speed work is the hardest thing to MAKE myself do. I really am just a run by feel girl. One long run on the weekend, and 5 miles 5 other days a week. I try and take one day where I just run balls out hard. But my pace time is tracking at about 3:45. UGH! 2 years ago I qualified for boston at 3:44:45..I just don't think I get pull the other 7 minutes off the total. Any suggestions?
