I am not a doctor and I've never played one on TV, but pain in the lower leg is probably not ITBS. If I had to make a guess I would go for something more like what used to be called "shin splits"...or a pulled calf muscle. Either way, ICE and ibuprofen might help, as well as rest. Proceed with caution if you are thinking of pushing through your training. Check your shoes to see if they are worn and need replacing.
