Olympic qualifying times

All Olympic qualifying times should be equal. The only difference is the A and B times. If you are sending more than one athlete per race they have to both meet the A standard. If just one athlete, then they have to meet the B standard. In each country's trials they publish a convention on how they will decide. At least that is my understanding of the qualifying times. And I'm from Ireland - Canadian, but when I searched for an answer to your request the Irishrunner site provided the answer.
