A: Very rare is the person who trains solo yet still finds a way to push beyond their own hard-wired comfort zone. So I too echo the notion that you'd profit from plugging into a buddy network.

Less formal running groups can also be found at Twin Cities fitness clubs and running specialty stores.
Swapping info w/ others, sharing long runs, speed sessions, a post-workout breakfast (or brew), etc. will provide you with constant inspiration and motivation. And that will put you on a path toward consistent training and improved finish times.
