Shoes causing knee pain??? re: Zeke

Zeke (and others) recently I asked about switching sneakers.. I did go to the running company and get another gait analysis.. they said the same thing... very, very low arches, semi-flat feet, overpronation.. and suggested the same brooks shoes as the brooks people had (without me mentioning anything!). They also said I should go to a 7 1/2. I asked about similar asics and after trying on a few pairs I ended up getting a pair of Brooks adrenalines and Asics Gel DS trainers - both in 7 1/2. I have been running in the Brooks but this past week and they felt fine.. but this past week I started to get some knee pain in my left knee. I also feel like the 4th toe on my right foot is jammed.. but I have no memory of that happening.. and after my run today I began getting pain in my lower calf on my right leg. Here's my question: do you think all these "ailments" - especially the knee pain is concerning because I've been knee pain free! is from the shoe switch? too much running post-marathon? or the cold weather causing harder running surface? Just wondering if I should ditch the new shoes and go back to my low-level asics - the T4 equations? Thanks so much for any help/insight! Ang
