...knowing what you should do versus what you want to do! I remember last year when I trained for my first marathon I did not like the 3 week taper but I did it since everyone said it was a must. I felt like I was slowing myself down especially after my last long run of 22 miles I felt great!!! I eventually got sick 6 days before the marathon which drastically affected my performance that day so I really dont know if that approach paid off. Sooo, I decided to do a 2 week taper instead this year but now this incident pretty much leaves me no choice but to taper for 3... or in reality, recover first then taper!
2 years 2 marathons and I still dont think I can get it right!!!!
