[Hope I'm welcome here. You all know that I love you.]
My wife is a nonrunner. At our advanced ages (it was 35 years ago today that we got engaged to be married), we tolerate anything the other one does. So she tolerant and supportive, because she knows I enjoy running and that it helps me keep my weight down and improve my cardiovascular health.
But she doesn't like my talking about running. So, if she doesn't ask, I don't tell.
I just let her know when and where I'm running, and carry my "In case of emergency" card with me on long runs (at her request). She usually doesn't even ask how the run was, but just says, "Please go take a shower."
She's so romantic.
