Just a question, if your goal race is Chicago, why run the full marathon distance 3 weeks prior? Generally, most training plans have peak runs no higher than 22-23 miles, depending on your level. As the last response indicated, you may still feel the effects of the first race while running your goal race in Chicago. I usually peak at about 22.5 miles five weeks prior to goal race and then run 21-22 three weeks prior. Just my thoughts from experience. Just don't want you to jeopardize your goal race, even if you ran the first 26.2 very slow. I would love to hear others' input.
