Watch irritation and pedicure question

Hi all! I just got back from Spain where it was BEAUTIFUL to run and EVERYONE there runs! It's hard coming back to NY.. I feel alone.=) Anyway... the whole month in Spain I used my Garmin watch - which I LOVE.. and didn't seem too big at all. But since getting home I have two questions about it.. I run on a quarter-mile track.. but the garmin seems to add extra distance.. like 10.5 miles ends up being 11.13.. could this be inaccuracy? Or is it that I go from the inside lane to the outside lane (there are 6 lanes)? Also, yesterday and today I started getting a sore underneath my watch on the top of my wrist. I am wearing it on the smallest possible notch but with sweating and it sliding.. it's rubbing and creating a painful/bleeding/oozy sore. Any suggestions? About the pedicure - I've never gotten one.. don't really care for polish.. but I have alot of callouses and rough skin.. as a runner do you think it's a good or bad thing to get a pedicure?
