I apoligize if this is long. Iv'e been running for 10 years. I'm 46 and in great shape. I run with custom orthodics for the last 7 years. The reason I use them is to prevent over-pronation which causes extreme pain in my IT Bands. Recently though, I started getting pains in my knees and IT bands. My chiropracter suggested getting a new pair. Things were fine at first but then I started getting pains in places Iv'e never experienced, in my calves and inside of my lower thigh muscles. The pain was in both legs and moves around from the side of my knees to up high on the calves to the middle inside of calves and even in the achilles on the left side. I Iced and stretched everyday. I only add 10% fromm week to week when I increase mielage. Right now I'm running pretty much injury free for the first time in 2 years. I don't know why but the pain has stopped. What do you think?
