Hi Voodoo,
I've been following a running room schedule from a book by John Stanton "Running Start to Finish". He is a big advocate of the 10/1's (Run for 10, walk for 1).
This coming weekend I was to do 32 km (20 miles) but had to adjust the schedule when I came down with the flu earlier this winter.
So I will be doing 29 km this weekend, then 32 km next weeekend. If I feel well after 29 km this weekend then maybe I will stretch it out to 32 but I highly doubt that.
For the long runs I carry 2 water bottles filled with a gatorade mixture. I also carry 2 gels(Clif shots).
I haven't tried taking Ibuprofin before a run. Would tylenol or aspirin do the same? (Mind you I think aspirin thins your blood so I'm not sure how good that would be).
They say our weather is to warm up by Friday - Highs of -3 (will feel balmy!).
Have yourself a great day.
