Hoping you can help with this. It started just over a week ago in my left foot. Felt like stiffness along the bottom of my foot, not really sore. I thought maybe it was the beginnings of plantar fasciitis. The home physical therapy that has always worked for me — heat + thumb massage before running, ice after — didn't clear it up. Stopped running but it just got worse. The whole bottom of my foot went numb, felt like the dentist had shot it with Novocaine. I've been icing it and taking ibuprofen. The numbness diminished, but still comes and goes, mostly along a thin line from my little toe back along the side of my foot toward mid-foot. When it's not tingling, it feels stiff. But it's not sore to the touch, and it doesn't really hurt to run. In fact, some easy running has seemed to help.
Don't want to make it worse. Any ideas what it is or how I should treat it?
