I started running in Vibrams recently. I have been running on the Asics Gel Nimbus before. I have also tried the Nike Zoom Vomeros. I have gradually increased my mileage in the Vibrams and currently my longest run on the Vibrams is 8 miles at about 9 mins a mile (which corresponds to my normal pace). I will soon be back on a marathon training program for Marine Corps Marathona and am concerned about running a lot of miles on hard concrete here in dallas on my vibrams. I do believe that I have found and strengthened some "new" muscles in my legs due to the vibrams. Any thoughts on going back to shoes for long runs etc but still using the Vibrams once or twice a week? Thanks in advance for your advice.
