Well it started about 3 days before the marathon, and this is my first experience with it. It is on the right side of the knee where the pain is the worst. It started hurting around 10 or 11 and got progressively worse making it where I couldnt run at about mile 22. I started physical therapy today to get it healed faster, she said it is the longer tendon going into the knee where the pain was at. But she still cant give me a good idea as to how long it will take before I can run full bore.
