I have been running for 2 months, and want to run a 10 mi race in may and a marathon in November. Currently I'm training like I will run a marathon in 4 months or so, to get my body used to running distances like that.

My question is how much should I run after the 10mi and prior to the "real" training for the marathon? How do I maintain?
