When I ran the LI Marathon this past May, I was disappointed to discover that not only was there no web page, but the marathon sponcers did not recommend hotel accomodations for those of us wishing to spend the night before close to the starting line and avoid last minute complications of travel. I mentioned this to a travel agent friend of mine who thinks she might be able to put together a group rate for marathon runners. If you are interested in overnight stay on Long Island before or after the race send your e-mail address to Judy Lindey at JLLindey@mindspring.com. (She is also good at airfare if that is something you require). Expressing interest in no way commits you, of course.
