Salt packet before running

Today, before I went on a 10 mile run, I took a teaspoon of salt and washed it down with water. 30 minutes later I went running. During my run I felt that I wasn't sweating much and that my legs were stronger than before. In comparison to my last runs, I felt that I didn't sweat as much.

I think that I'm going to have salted bagels for breakfast every time I run. I feel as if that would help me out more. In terms of the length of running, I think that I'm going to start switching up my workout in order to increase my endurance.
