I'm all set, trained and ready for Sunday's NY marathon. But I'm a little concerned about food. Last year, I ate a bagel AND oatmeal before my start time, but found myself starving at mile 5 and shaking at mile 7. I finally recovered after finding a guy with twizzlers, but I do not want to have the same experience with this years race. I haven't had any problem all summer with hunger on my long runs. Something about the late start time and sitting outside for 3 hours in the freezing cold made me starving.
I'm hoping to PR, so any advice is welcome.
