Philly is where I got my BQ, several thing to note, the start is unusually crowded as the street is actually kinda narrow, don't sweat it, don't do too much weaving, conserve... then there is a long gentle hill by the zoo that seems to go on forever as it curves as it ascends, what the curve and take the short route, most people hug the outside (not sure why)...then after the half you go out of town with a slight rise, this (15-17) is always my 'not wonderful' zone anyhow so don't let those slight up inclines get you... after the turn around in the small town (where I got stopped when they had to pull an ambulance through, you also hit the 20 mile time mat there) you are headed home with a slight downhill and you also get to see people before their turn around...that is where you can start to cruise... such a mental boost...those miles were some of my FASTEST for the day, such joy, especially as you start to realize you are going to get the time you want...

please report back, hope you have good weather... -Rita
