Nutrition for over weight runners

I have another question regarding overweight runners. I am no longer overweight thanks to dedicated running and a gastric bypass surgery. (stomach stapling) I have changed my lifestyle and lost over 100 pounds. I run regularly and am contemplating my 1st marathon. The problem is the nutrition. I can only eat small, small amounts at a time and forget carbo loading. With the new mechanics of my stomach carbs and sugar "dump" right into my intestine's and literally make me sick, tired and ...omygod diarrhea!! I am concerned about keeping up my energy during the longer runs ( my longest run so far has only been 10 miles..I am just starting to introduce them into my workouts but have been running consistently for over a year)any thoughts and or suggestions from the Vets? (i am going to be consulting with my doc soon too)
