if you aren't having diarrhea issues until after the race, I would avoid taking immodium, which I believe stops the peristaltic action—could create health issues. You can get some calories during the race from the Gatorade or whatever energy drink is available at the aid stations—if you walk the stations and make sure you get at least a cup at each one, might be enough to get you around the course. Good luck.
