I just had my 28th birthday and I feel sometimes like I really turned 70 The joints creak the back is tight and sore. I've noticed the "laugh lines" and other "age marks". But somehow I get out of bed in the morning, take a deep breath and head out the door for my run. And wouldn't you know it, I feel 100% (okay, more like 99.5%) better when I get back. I'll wake up tomorrow creaking and moaning again, but I'll somehow find the motivation to head out the door again because I know if I didn't I'd be 28 going on 100. I hope that I'll still be running at 50 and well beyond. I'm not impressed so much by those 20ish year olds running 2:20:00 marathons, it's the 60, 70, 80 year olds that get out there and kick my a** that impress me!
