I need help getting started. I am interested in running a marathon next summer/fall (so i have plenty of time!) but i'm not sure how to start. I was an all american runner in high school (800m), but that was 5 years ago and since then haven't kept in racing shape. I ran in college for a bit, but eventually quit due to injuries sustained while trying to increase mileage too quickly.
I am interested in finding out what races are particularly good for beginners, as well as what type of workout plan should I follow for the next 10-12 months? Thanks.
