I am a graduate student in architecture. No family. I normally do about 2-3 hours a day. But between spring and summer semester (about 4 weeks), I up it big time. I start at 6 AM with a 1 mile swim, then do 30 minutes on elliptical, then 15 minutes on stationary, then 30 minutes on elliptical, then 15 minutes on stationary. I then do about 1 hour of body master machines. Then I run 1 mile (I have chondromalacia so I cant run now - just rehabs). I then go to school and do my duty as a research asst - which only requires 2-3 hours between semesters. THen I spend about 2-3 hrs doing whatever. Then, I go back to the rec center and do an hour more of elliptical/stationary. At my apt before sleep, I do free weights (either bench or curls, either dips or pull ups, etc).

So yes, for the past week and next 3 weeks, I am doing some serious excercise. I am increasing caloric intake as needed. Healthy? Well, it is fun. I enjoy it very much - and it is psychologically do-able - because I know that once summer school starts it will go back down to 2-3 hrs. it is also helping my knee recover (swimming, ellipticals, etc). I am already notcing improvement.
