I think I'm qualified for this one!

Heather, last winter when I was preparing for Boston (which is in April) some of my long runs were done in minus 35 degrees Celcius, so I think I have an informed opinion on that one!

If you stay away from icy patches and not break your neck in a fall, I can see no problem training in winter conditions for a race that will be run in warm conditions. In fact, it might even be an advantage : you'll be preparing in harsh conditions for something that will be done in easier circumstances (you get tough easy in winter, I find).

Still, I'd arrive on race site a few days before the event to get used to the climate... and to remember what it feels like to run on dry pavement!
