I'm six weeks out from a scheduled marathon (Houston) and I've developed a calf issue that I can't seem to fix.
Pain that's high on my calf and on the inner half as well. I managed an 18 miler last week and was able to follow it up with four miles two days later but the pain was ridiculous the day after the four miler.
I have a 30k scheduled in 10 days and I was considering making that my longest run before the marathon. That would be five weeks out which is two weeks farther out than normal for me. I have no illusions about this being a great marathon. I just want to get it to the house with the minimum amount of pain and agony.
