I will be running in my first marathon in January (Chevron Houston Marathon) and am wondering what the best foods are to fuel my training without bogging me down. I have had bariatric surgery so I can't eat bread, rice or pasta..and I find that potatoes make me feel sluggish. In addition, I have fat and sugar restrictions (no more than 10G per serving of either). Any thoughts? I need to trim about 20lbs between now and the marathon (by my estimation)
