Good morning, Jonathan, I ran Chicago a few years ago and visit the city frequently for business. If you stay outside the city, you can get much better hotel rates. There is an excellent transit system, so you can stay 15 miles or so west of the city and easily take a train almost to the start/finish line. Chicago is a good run; hope you get to enjoy it.
