Advertising a race as a marathon (Kansas Marathon is still prominently on the site, still on the fundraiser page if you choose to have someone help raise money for you to run this race) when the race is NOT a marathon IS A BIG DEAL!! There is a big difference in the amount of training required, the level of dedication needed, and the status of completing, let alone just finishing, a marathon vs. a 1/2 marathon. Keeping the name "KANSAS MARATHON" is false advertising and is dishonest, to say the least. If it is not a big deal, the website and name should be changed!!
