I am 45 years old and in very good shape. I am 5' 10" and weigh 155lbs. I been running 1 marathon a year for the last 6 years and I'm a 3:30 marathoner. I started feeling pain in march of this year in my groin. I thought I pulled it but the pain would'nt go away. I was just diagnosed with a torn labrum in my left hip and bone spurs due to some arthritis.
My doctor wants to arthroscope it to clean the tear and shave down the spurs. Has anyone had this type of surgery? Can you suggest a good surgeon? AND MOST INPORTANT, will I be able to run marathons again and run as fast as I used to?? Thank you for any info on this matter.
