post race breathing problems?

I finished my first marathon: The MCM. Within a half hour post race I found that my sinuses were stuffy and my nose runny and I felt like my airways were restricted. It felt tight to breathe. The sinus thing cleared up after a day and a half and today (two days post run) I am still feeling a bit tight in my breathing. Has anyone experienced this type of thing before? It hasn't happened in any of my training runs, the longest of which was 20m. I don't know if it was something in the air, DC air quality, or what. My breathing during the race was fine. The only thing I struggled with was feeling like my pulse was remaining uncomfortably high the last 3.2 miles. Thanks!
