Ankle support question

Since I ran Grandma's Marathon last month, my right ankle seems to want to give out (buckle). I've since seen doctors and found out that I have an old injury creeping up on me. My right ankle has lateral ligament laxity. Chrisman-Snook Surgery has been advised. I'm signed up for the Chicago Marathon. I'm going to try training in the month of August to get ready for it. My question is, Does anyone else that had an ankle problem recomend any type of ankle support (brace) for long distance runners? I'm looking for a support that will fit well in shoes and hopefully not cause blisters. Thanks for any advise.
