The question begs for the answer "it depends..." If it is a hot day or you are a large person, the answer is likely much more than if you're 122 pounds and running on a chilly morning.
Learn from your long runs. How much do you drink then? Adjust for the weather conditions.
You likely won't be able to drink that much on the marathon course itself but don't worry about that. Most runners lose a few pounds on the course. If you drink enough to gain weight, you run much more serious risks. That said, I don't wait until I'm thirsty. The first drink occurs before the starting gun goes off and then every 15 or 20 minutes depending on how the aid stations are distributed.
