Hi I have some advice for you: I have ran 19 different marathons 4 years and it was very difficult to see how much water I should have drank. I discovered that drinking water a week before the actual races was an execellent idea. Avoid the first drink station: get in a rhythm first. Get comtorable, and settle into the race. You dont need water after ten minutes. I skip usaully 3 water stations before I drink at a water station. And also, It takes only a few seconds to drink so dont try to run and drink at the same time. Stop, have your water, and then be on your way. Drink when you feel thristy. Too much will make you feel bloated and that can lead to seriuos cramps. Blanace yourself out and try your own ways too! I hope i helped you with this information. I have followed these steps and it leads me to fast ending times, 3:30 for the entire marathon.
