Hi everyone! I am a relatively fit 23 year-old, female. I was training well for my first marathon for several months, got up to 18 miles for my longest run. Then about a month and a half ago everything fell apart. I got sick several times, had several deaths in the family and was super busy with school work. Needless to say running took a back burner in a major way. I have walked at least 30 min every day during this month and done some yoga and kick boxing but hardly run more than 10 miles total. My marathon is this Sunday and I am scared to death. I think I can do it but I am really afraid. Does anyone have any words of encouragement? I know I didn't go about this properly but I still really want to try! Anyone with a story about how their training fell apart and they still did well- please write. I don't care how long it takes me to finish (though I am aiming for 5 hrs or less). And I think I will be doing 3 min run-1 min walks like Galloway recommends. Positive advice please? Thanks!
